Orel Puppington
Orel Puppington is a 12-year-old with Goodness and Moral Righteous-ness constantly on his mind. Although Orel doggedly applies the rules to being a good Christian every second of the day, his penchant for taking things too literally often gets him into trouble. But please remember: as mischievous as Orel seems, he only wants to do good.
Orel is voiced by Carolyn Lawrence.
Favorite pastime: Going to church.
Best friend: Jesus.
Next Best friend: Doughy.
Talent: Misinterpreting the lessons of Moralton's authority figures.
Bloberta Puppington
Orel's overly hard-working mother, who will only take the easy way out when it comes to raising her children.
You see, her obsession with homemaking and obessive cleanliness (she's even been know to clean her cleaning products!) makes her a somewhat of a rather neglectful maternal presence.
Favorite pastime: Cleaning.
Turn off: Sex with Clay.
Turn on: Refusing sex with Clay.
Clay Puppington
Orel's father rules the home with a stern, yet "fair" hand. Well, fair as long as they coincide conveniently with his method of child-rearing, i.e. the nostalgic, post-WWII, American way.
Favorite pastime: (tie) corporal punishment and drinking.
Talent: Engaging his wife in shallow, cordial conversations.
Favorite food: high balls.
Shapey Puppington/Block Posabule
Orel's little brother obviously has issues. His only means of communication is throwing fits and being a brat. Too much maternal attention early in life and not enough here in the present have made Shapey an emotional basket-case.
In the season two episode The Lord's Prayer he was accidentally replaced by Block Posabule, son of the Puppingtons' new neighbors. Only Clay seemed to notice the difference, but he shrugged it off and has shown no further interest in the matter. No one else in either family noticed--despite the Posabules moving away, taking Shapey with them, at the end of the episode.
The main difference between the two is their hair color (Block is a redhead, while Shapey is blonde) and head shape (Shapey's head is round while Block's is more triangular); their behaviors are much the same.
They are both voiced by Tigger Stamatopoulos, the six year old daughter of show creator and executive producer Dino Stamatopoulos.
Favorite pastime: Yelling.
Least favorite pastime: Being weaned.
Hobby: Shouting.
Favorite food: Breast milk.
Talent: Screaming.
