In
my capacity as Webmaster for the Board of Education, I created a departmental
template for the Bilingual Education Department and the Department of Instruction
sub-sites.
The design at left involved animated gifs, mouse rollovers, image slicing, and converting Microsoft Office Clip Art into web friendly .gif and .jpg friendly files.
The format here is the design that each Department of Instruction page followed, with the relevant navigation button changing depending on the various options presented to the user and where the usual was in the site navigation tree.
I also created several different CSS files that would serve the right corresponding layout to visitors surfing to the site with various web browsers to ensure an equal viewing experience no matter what browser one chose to use, whether it was Mozilla, Internet Explorer, or the school system default of Netscape Navigator 4.X.
